<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user of a vehicle to correctly grasp an approaching state of an approaching vehicle with respect to the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The position of an approaching vehicle approaching a vehicle from behind the vehicle with respect to the vehicle is derived. Then, a composite image viewed from a virtual viewpoint corresponding to the position of the vehicle and the position of the approaching vehicle is generated from captured images captured by plural cameras, and the composite image is displayed on a display.
