The invention relates to a screw (11) for retaining articles on a lightweight construction material, in particular an insulating material, having a threaded shank (13) with a first and second end, having an external thread (15), which extends helically along the threaded shank (13), having a tip (22), which is formed at the first end of the threaded shank (13), and having a screw head (17), which is arranged at the second end of the threaded shank (21) and has a tool-attachment means (27) for transmitting a torque from a tool (41) to the screw (11). The screw head (17) is designed as an integral washer (21), which prevents the screw head (17) from becoming recessed into the lightweight construction material. The external thread (15) has a flank height (23), and this flank height (23), at any location of the external thread (15), is greater than or equal to half the radius of the washer (21). |
