A counter electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The method for manufacturing the counter electrode for the dye-sensitized solar cell according to an aspect of the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a conductive substrate; forming photoresist on one side of the conductive substrate; exposing the photoresist to light via a mask pattern formed in a photo mask; developing the exposed photoresist; and depositing platinum on the conductive substrate after the developing step.
