<p>PURPOSE: An automatic teller machine is provided to enable a user to rapidly grasp whether paper medium stacked within a medium carriage is received or not. CONSTITUTION: An automatic teller machine comprises a medium carriage(130), a carriage position controller(150), and a residue detector(180). The medium carriage is arranged in the rear end of a medium transfer unit transferring the paper medium provided from a medium storage and stacks paper medium exhausted from the medium transfer unit. The carriage position controller is equipped with a rotor and adjusts the location of the medium carriage. The residue detector detects the paper medium remaining amount within the medium carriage.</p> |
