摘要 The present invention relates to a micro converter apparatus for photovoltaic modules capable of minimizing an insertion loss and coping with a situation where an overcurrent flows on an inductor, and a controlling method therefor. The micro converter apparatus for photovoltaic modules comprises: a micro converter for varying the path of a current in accordance with a difference in power generated by the photovoltaic modules and then compensating for a current difference among the photovoltaic modules; and a string controller for controlling a duty cycle of the micro converter on the basis of the power generated by the photovoltaic modules outputted from the micro converter and then adjusting the voltage of the photovoltaic modules. The present invention implements at least two micro converters in one box and installs the box in each of at least two modules, and thus, the present invention can implement the minimum number of a micro converter box for adjusting the voltage of the photovoltaic modules and can cope with the situation where an overcurrent flows on an induct in real time.
