A system for saving oil of an electric control engine. The system comprises an engine controller (2), a temperature sensor (1), and an engine oil saving system (3). An input end of the temperature sensor (1) is connected to an input end of the engine controller (2) by using a first temperature signal input bundle (11) and a second temperature signal input bundle (12), so as to form an engine thermal protection system. The an engine oil saving system (3) comprises a three-position selection switch (4), a half-load temperature control resistor (5), and a no-load temperature control resistor (6). The half-load temperature control resistor (5) or the no-load temperature control resistor (6) is selectively connected, according to a power mode of the actual operation condition of the whole vehicle, to the temperature sensor (1) in parallel by using the three-position selection switch (4). By means of an thermal protection oil limiting principle of a cooling liquid temperature of an electric control system, the system for saving oil of the electric control engine selectively limits a rotating speed and an oil injection amount of an engine according to a power mode of an actual operation condition of a whole vehicle, so as to ensure that the engine operates in an optimum oil consumption area, and accordingly, the objective of saving oil is achieved, and the cost is low. Also disclosed is a method for saving oil of the electric control engine.
