<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear vehicle body structure that can suppresses intrusion of foreign matter from an insertion hole for flap to a striker side when a back door is opened, and that has improved designability. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the rear vehicle body structure 1 which locks a back door 4 for opening and closing an opening part 3 of a vehicle body rear part to a vehicle body 2, the rear vehicle body structure includes: a striker 5 which is fitted to a vehicle body panel 8 located below the opening part and constituting the vehicle body, and has a lock part 11 locking a latch 10 provided in the back door; and an interior trim material 6 covering the vehicle body panel located below the opening part and the striker located below the opening part. The interior trim material includes an insertion hole 16 into which the latch is inserted and a flap 17 which opens and closes the insertion hole as the latch enters and exits from the insertion hole. The flap includes an insertion hole 17a into which the lock part can be inserted when the flap is opened, and the insertion hole is formed in a shape conforming with an external shape of the lock part, the flap is arranged so that a surface of the flap in a closing state is flushed with a surface of the lock part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
