摘要 <p>To easily and quickly detect drunkenness without using expired air. Drunkenness is detected by computing the second derivative of photoplethysmogram aging index of the pulse wave of human dorsal aorta.  The second derivative of photoplethysmogram aging index, which is an index employed in estimating blood vessel age, is affected by a transient exogenous stimulus such as a rise in intravascular pressure and alcohol intake is reflected more in the aortic pulse wave than in the photoplethysmogram.  By constructing a determination system based on the scattering degree to a standard value range, the time-series scattering degree of the second derivative of photoplethysmogram aging index can be more easily understood as a change between before and after drinking.  Thus, drunkenness can be exactly and quickly determined, compared with the existing methods, without using expired air.</p>
