The present invention relates to a method for cultivating a crop, in particular a plant crop or seed crop, the method comprising of arranging a crop or a precursor thereof on a carrier and then further cultivating the crop, wherein the carrier comprises a displaceable conveyor (9) arranged for the purpose of holding the crop or precursor thereof at a distance above a water supply, wherein the carrier comprises a conveyor belt (11), and the method also comprises of harvesting the crop by severing the upper part of the crop by transporting the crop along a cutting installation (27) using the conveyor belt (11). |
