<p>The present invention relates to an air cleaner for an automobile. A conventional method where a first housing and a second housing constituting an air conditioner are coupled by a plurality of bolts or by thermal fusion has problems of reducing productivity due to a longer work time and decrease in the efficiency of after service (A/S) as all the bolts need to be loosened in order to replace a filter element. Therefore, the air cleaner for an automobile has a filter entry hole opened and closed by a cover on the upper surface of an air cleaner housing installed as a standing type, and allows the filter element to be attached and detached upwards and downwards. The air cleaner for an automobile comprises: a first housing (100a), a second housing (100b) and a filter element mounting plate (200) assembled therebetween. Latching projections (110a, 110b) spaced from each other at a predetermined distance and opposite from each other are formed by surrounding the opened rear rim of the first housing (100a) and an inner side portion of the opened front rim of the second housing (100b). Flange units (120a, 120b) having a fixer groove (121) and an extrusion groove (122) are formed opposite from each other on the outer side of the latching projections (110a, 110b).</p> |
