The present invention relates to a method for purging flooding and impurities from a fuel cell. According to the present invention, the amount of the hydrogen that is purged with the flooding/impurities is minimized when a purge valve for removing the flooding/impurities (water, nitrogen, and the like) from the fuel cell is operated so that the fuel economy (rate of hydrogen use) can be improved. The method for purging flooding and impurities from a fuel cell according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step of setting current areas for the operation of the purge valve for removing the flooding and impurities from the fuel cell; a step of setting respective operation cycles of the purge valve corresponding to the set current areas; a step of detecting the hydrogen pressure of a fuel electrode when the fuel cell is operated; a step of detecting a current integrated value corresponding to the detected hydrogen pressure; and a step of purging the flooding and impurities by operating the purge valve at the operation cycle corresponding to the current area corresponding to the detected current integrated value. |
