PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily clean when a gravel layer in a filter tank for water used for a small generator is clogged with dirt, mud or the like.SOLUTION: A filter tank is formed by putting a gravel layer 6 into a U-shaped groove 1 of a channel, and by providing a perforated pipe 4 inside the gravel layer and connecting a conduit tube 5 to the perforated pipe 4. The filter tank is partitioned into right and left two tanks by halving water flow by a shield plate 3, and each water level of the right and left two tanks is changed alternately by a division plate, and water is allowed to flow backward from the perforated pipe 4 in one tank having a lower water level, thereby causing dirt, mud or the like to flow downstream.
