PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pump mechanism capable of reducing generation of wasteful drive torque.SOLUTION: An intake port 35 provided on a housing 3 is connected to a brake master vac 52 of a brake booster, and oil amount adjusting means 60 is provided for adjusting an amount of oil flowing through a lubricating oil supply passage 44 when the brake master vac 52 is in a prescribed negative pressure. When the brake master vac 52 is in the prescribed negative pressure, the oil amount adjusting means 60 adjusts the amount of the lubricating oil flowing through the lubricating oil supply passage 44 so that the oil amount decreases or becomes zero, and a load applied on a vane 8 or the like of a vacuum pump 1 by the lubricating oil can be reduced compared to the conventional technique. Accordingly, generation of wasteful drive torque can be prevented in the vacuum pump 1. |
