摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detecting breakage of a battery containing a sulphide-based solid electrolyte.SOLUTION: Provided is a battery breakage detection device for detecting breakage of at least one battery of batteries in a power supply device comprising: one or more batteries containing a sulphide-based solid electrolyte; a battery pack having an air inlet port and an air outlet port, and including a housing for housing the one or more batteries; a cooling air supply path connected with the air inlet port of the housing; and an air outlet path connected with the air outlet port of the housing. The battery breakage detection device comprises: first HS concentration information acquisition means for acquiring information on HS concentration in cooling air supplied into the housing, and second HS concentration information acquisition means for acquiring information on HS concentration in the air exhausted from the housing; and determination means for detecting presence or absence of leakage of HS from the battery by comparing the first and second HS concentration information acquired by the first and second HS concentration information acquisition means, and determining whether or not at least one battery of the batteries is broken on the basis of the detection result.
