PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of continuing a printing treatment as much as possible while reading the image of an actually printed sheet on the basis of a job without depending on the residual amount detection accuracy of a developer.SOLUTION: A structure comprises: reading means for reading a manuscript being transported; transfer means sharing a transfer passage for printing an image on double sides of a sheet, and a transfer passage for reading the images of the double sides of the document transferred; detection means for detecting the residual quantity of a developer; decision means for deciding whether or not the residual quantity detected by the detection means is smaller than a predetermined residual quantity, before a printing start; transfer control means for controlling the reading means to read and discharge the printed sheet by using the transfer means, in the case where it is decided that the residual quantity is smaller than the predetermined residual quantity, and the transfer means to discharge the image-printed sheet in the case where it is decided that the residual quantity is not smaller than the predetermined residual quantity; and control means for controlling the printing treatment by the printing means. |
