PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of a registered value of an origin of a rotary table coordinate system.SOLUTION: A shape measuring device 100 is equipped with a probe 17 for measuring an article to be measured, a rotary table 50 on which the article to be measured is placed; and a coordinate system calculating portion 212 for calculating a coordinate shaft configuring a coordinate system of the rotary table 50. The coordinate system calculating portion 212 calculates a center of a circle C1 drawn by a master ball 61 when the rotary table 50 rotates, on the basis of a position of the master ball 61 fixed on the rotary table 50; calculates a rotary table coordinate system which has the center of the circle C1 as an origin; and corrects the coordinate of the origin on the basis of a corrected diameter value of a gauge 65 fixed to the rotary table 50, a first diameter value of the gauge 65 measured by first measurement for making the probe 17 approach the gauge 65 in a first direction, and a second diameter value of the gauge 65 measured by second measurement for making the probe 17 approach the gauge 65 in a second direction. |
