PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for a sheet-like base material which is capable of surely cutting the sheet-like base material while applying a sufficient tensile force to the sheet-like base material.SOLUTION: The cutting device comprises: a cutting member 110 for cutting a sheet-like base material (separator base materia) 60; a mounting member 120 which includes a mounting face 120a for mounting the separator base material thereon and includes, on the mounting face, a recess 121 for pulling the separator base material therein together with a distal end of the cutting member when cutting the separator base material by means of the cutting member 110; a tensile force application mechanism 130 for applying a tensile force in a direction crossing the cutting member to the separator base material while pressing portions of the separator base material that is mounted on the mounting face, being positioned at both sides holding the recess therebetween; and a control member 200 for controlling operations of the cutting member and the tensile force application mechanism. The control member controls the operations of the cutting member and the tensile force application mechanism so as to cut the separator base material to which the tensile force is applied by the tensile force application mechanism, by means of the cutting member. |
