摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device having a light orientation film and capable of sufficiently improving display quality, and a liquid crystal display device manufactured by the method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device in which a light orientation film is formed from a liquid crystal orientation agent, and liquid crystal molecules are oriented in a direction horizontal to the main surface of at least one substrate, the liquid crystal orientation agent including two or more kinds of polyamic acids obtained by reacting diamine and tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride or their derivatives and a solvent, and at least two of the diamine and at least one of the tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride being a compound expressed by a prescribed chemical formula. The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes, in the order stated: step (1), a step of forming a film using the liquid crystal orientation agent; step (2), a step of performing pre-calcination; step (3), a step of performing light irradiation; and step (4), a step of performing final calcination, the step (4) including an operation for finally calcining the film formed using the liquid crystal orientation agent several times from low temperature to high temperature.
