<p>The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for removing ammonia nitrogen. The apparatus includes: an acid fermentation tank which changes organic waste water into acid by hydrolysis and acid fermentation; a hydrolytic tank which mixes the waste water, processed in the acid fermentation tank, with a strong alkali in order to change oil and fat substances of the organic waste water into a water soluble substance, and change ammonia nitrogen into free ammonia; an alkali charging tank which supplies a strong alkali including sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide to the hydrolytic tank; a methane fermentation tank which generates methane by processing the organic waste water processed by the hydrolytic tank; a and recirculation distribution part which recirculates the effluent from the methane fermentation tank through the acid fermentation tank and the hydrolytic tank. According to the present invention, the pH of the effluent can be maintained to be optimum by repeatedly processing and recirculating effluent from an anaerobic digestion tank.</p> |
