摘要 <p>A process for producing an aluminum/graphite composite, which successively includes: (1) a step in which an isotropic graphite material having a thermal conductivity at 25ºC of 100-200 W/mK, a ratio of the maximum to the minimum value of thermal conductivity in three perpendicular directions of 1-1.3, a coefficient of thermal expansion at 25-150ºC of 2×10-6-5×10-6 /K, a ratio of the maximum to the minimum value of coefficient of thermal expansion in three perpendicular directions of 1-1.3, and a porosity of 10-20 vol.% is processed into plates having a thickness of 0.5-3 mm; (2) a step in which the plates of the isotropic graphite material are superposed alternately with release plates and the stack is pressed at a clamping torque of 1-50 Nm in the direction perpendicular to the plate planes of the isotropic graphite material; and (3) a step in which an aluminum alloy containing 3-20 mass% silicon is forcedly infiltrated into the stack by squeeze casting at a pressure of 20 MPa or higher to impregnate at least 70% of the pores of the isotropic graphite material with the aluminum alloy and form an aluminum alloy layer having an average thickness of 10-300 µm on each of the main surfaces of each plate of the isotropic graphite material.</p>
