Methods and systems for handling multiple documents while scanning

An embodiment discloses a method utilizing a device for handling multiple documents during scanning. The method includes receiving multiple documents on or within a sleeve to enable scanning of at least one of a first side and a second side of each of the documents in a single scanning operation. The method includes identifying one or more dimensional characteristics of the sleeve and each document arranged on or within the sleeve. The method further includes scanning at least one of the first side and the second side of each document. Moreover, the method includes tagging the scanned documents based on at least one of content characteristics and the dimensional characteristics of the documents.

1. A method for use with a device for handling multiple documents, the method comprising:
arranging the multiple documents within a sleeve consisting of a single sheet; receiving, using the sleeve, the multiple documents, each of the multiple documents comprising a first side and a second side; identifying, using the device, one or more dimensional characteristics of the sleeve and each of the multiple documents; scanning, using the device, at least one of the first side and the second side of each of the multiple documents to create at least one image for each of the multiple documents; and associating, using the device, a user-editable tag with the at least one image while the corresponding multiple documents are being scanned, wherein the user-editable tag is associated based on the identified one or more dimensional characteristics of the corresponding multiple document.
