More particularly, compositions and methods of the present invention find use in agriculture for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of a dicotyledonous plant. The compositions include cultivation media comprising high concentrations of sucrose and glucose. The cultivation media find use in methods directed to Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of a dicot plant with a gene of interest. In this manner, any gene of interest can be introduced into a dicot plant with high transformation efficiency and reduced tissue necrosis. | ||
