摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of separating zirconium and hafnium and a method of manufacturing zirconium from which hafnium is removed, capable of speedily and efficiently providing zirconium from which hafnium is removed by improving a selective extraction speed of hafnium.SOLUTION: The method of separating zirconium and hafnium in an embodiment of the invention includes a preparation step of preparing an extraction stock solution containing a solution containing zirconium, hafnium and sulfuric acid and a catalyst, an extraction step of selectively extracting hafnium in the extraction stock solution to an organic phase solution by agitating the extraction stock solution as an aqueous solution and the organic phase solution containing an acidic extraction agent, and a separation step of separating a first agitation liquid which is an aqueous solution from which hafnium is removed through the extraction step and a second extraction liquid which is an organic phase solution through the extraction step, the catalyst is a metal ion improving an extraction speed of hafnium and any one selected from a group consisting of a nickel ion, a copper ion and a combination thereof.</p>
