PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system that allows an easier operation to respond to an image presented for authentication, and allows access by a computer program to be prevented with higher probability.SOLUTION: The present authentication system is an authentication system that has a terminal and an authentication server, and the terminal has: display control means for causing a plurality of tally images generated from an authentication image to be displayed; display position control means capable of changing a mutual display position relationship of the tally images; and terminal communication control means for causing information including display position information indicative of the mutual position relationship in the displayed tally images to be transmitted to the authentication server. The authentication server has: position relationship determination means for comparing the display position information included in the received information with authentication position information indicative of the mutual position relationship in the tally image allowing the authentication image to be visually recognized, and determining whether the tally image has a position relation allowing the authentication image to be visually recognized; and authentication means for, herein when a true determination is made, authenticating the terminal. |
