The invention relates to a method for producing a vacuum for a braking device of a motor vehicle, preferably a hybrid propulsion motor vehicle. The invention makes it possible to use all the power sources (2, 10, 20, 30) of the power train to produce a vacuum in the compression release braking device (40). Each of the power sources can drive the heat engine (1) with a view to producing the vacuum without needing to inject fuel for putting said heat engine into operation. Because of the invention, the motor vehicle does not comprise a vacuum pump for the braking system. |
