摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit capable of increasing power output, preventing degradation in lighting efficiency, and suppressing an increase in size.SOLUTION: A lighting unit according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a light-emitting element having a light-emitting surface; an optical lens passing through an origin and orthogonal to the light-emitting surface, and provided in a positive direction of an axis, the origin being a center of the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting element, the positive direction of the axis being a light emitting direction; a plurality of radiation fins arranged in a negative direction of the axis around the axis that serves as a central axis of the radiation fins, arranged so as not to be located in a range of a half of a light distribution angle of the optical lens with respect to the positive direction of the axis, and thermally connected to the light-emitting element; a cover encompassing the radiation fins, formed into a shape of a rotational body rotating around the axis that is a rotational axis of the rotational body, and including at least one opening portion provided in each of the positive direction and the negative direction of the axis; and a base provided along the axis, and thermally connected to the light-emitting element and the radiation fins.
