The subject of the invention is a method for producing a carrier plate furnished with a decoration as a part of a wall panel and/or ceiling panel and/or drywall. In this case, a carrier plate is lined with a paper overlay. The paper overlay is furnished with images and/or a graphic pattern. According to the invention, the images and/or the graphic pattern are applied to the paper overlay by a digital printing process.
