<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of uniformizing the temperature distribution of a peripheral direction when a pair of fixing members are separated from each other without complicating a constitution to cause an increase in cost, even when a fixing member on a heating side is formed into an endless belt shape, and an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a pair of rotation members for fixing to rotate in a state of being brought into pressure-contact with each other and fix a recording material holding an unfixed toner image passing through a pressure contact part by heating and pressurizing the recording material, driving means for rotating and driving one rotation member for fixing of the pair of rotation members for fixing, contact/separation means for bringing the pair of rotation members into pressure-contact with each other and separating the rotation members from each other, and driving force transmission means for transmitting rotating and driving force of the one rotation member including the driving means to the other rotation member when the rotation members are separated from each other by the contact/separation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
