The present invention relates to an adhesive composition and a composite polarizing plate using the same. More specifically, the adhesive composition includes a photopolymerizable compound containing an acryl-based monomer having a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group and another acryl-based monomer having an aromatic ring having 6 to 18 carbon atoms; and a photopolymerization initiator. Therefore, when the adhesive composition is used for bonding a polarizer with a patterned retardation layer in order to manufacture the composite polarizing plate, the adhesive composition increases adhesive force between the polarizer and the patterned retardation layer, enhances durability such as heat resistance, wet-heat resistance, hot-water resistance, etc., and provides an excellent three-dimensional effect. |
