1. An image processing device comprising:
a CPU that is configured to function as: an image acquisition unit that acquires an image including a target object; a comparison unit that compares a first characteristic of the target object in the acquired image with characteristics of a plurality of groups each including a plurality of images of objects; a first selection unit that selects, from the plurality of groups, at least two groups which have a common characteristic that is similar to the first characteristic of the target object, based on a comparison result by the comparison unit, wherein a number of the plurality of groups is larger than a number of the at least two groups; a second selection unit that selects, from each of the at least two groups, a representative image a characteristic of which is similar to a second characteristic of the target object, the second characteristic being different from the first characteristic; and a display control unit that controls a display to display representative images selected by the second selection unit.
