The invention relates to a device for detecting and warning in case of anchored vessels dragging anchor, and to a detection and warning method, comprising: a connector (2) joined to the anchor (15); a trigger (3) based on distance; a timer (4); a release (5); a securing means (6); a weight (7); a messenger (9); a carrier (10); a sensor (11) for detecting the arrival of the messenger; an alarm (12); a floating station (13) including the alarm and the sensor; and a receiver (14), all of which are disposed such that, if, as a result of anchor dragging, the distance between the anchor and the weight or reference exceeds a determined maximum distance, the messenger (9) activates the sensor (11) and this in turn activates the alarm (12) which is sent to the receiver in order to draw attention to the situation.
