PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device for enabling a resident to confirm a visitor performing safety confirmation by a living room master unit when the safety confirmation is started and terminating a safety confirmation response operation in a shorter time compared with a call operation duration time.SOLUTION: A master unit control section 30 determines whether a resident is in a normal state or in a confirmation need state having the probability of occurrence of a certain abnormality on the basis of signals from a human detection sensor 4 and a safety button 24c. The determination is stored in a safety state storage section 28. The safety confirmation of a resident is performed by the long depression of a call button 13 in an entrance slave unit. The contents of the safety state storage section 28 is reported by the flickering of an illumination LED 15. A report operation duration time is allowed to be equal to or less than half of a call operation duration time when a call operation is received from the entrance slave unit 1. |
