PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which prevents electric connection between a conducting wire led out from a coil and a base member while reducing an axial thickness of the spindle motor.SOLUTION: A stationary part 103 of a spindle motor includes a substantially cup shaped base member 131 having a bottom part 131b extending in a radial direction and a wall part 131c extending upward from an outer edge part of the bottom part. A circuit board 133 is fixed to a lower surface of the base member. The base member includes a through hole 131f which penetrates through the bottom part in an axial direction. An opening edge part 131h of the base member is covered by an insulation film 139. A conducting wire 138a from the coil 138 passes through the through hole, is led out along a surface of the insulation film, and is connected with the circuit board. The structure leads the conducting wire to the circuit board while preventing electric connection between the conducting wire and the opening edge part. |
