PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop: a joint member having a longer replacement life than the conventional joint members; and a reinforcement member capable of extending the replacement lives of the conventional joint members.SOLUTION: A joint member comprises: a coupling member 2 for cupping rails 100a and 100b which are adjacent to each other in a track direction; and a reinforcement member 3 for reinforcing the coupling member 2. The reinforcement member 3 covers a bottom 8 of the coupling member 2 in a state where the reinforcement member 3 is mounted on the rails 100. A Young's modulus and tensile strength of the reinforcement member 3 are higher than those of the coupling member 2. Thus, the reinforcement member 3 reduces tensile stress applied to the coupling member 2 when a railroad vehicle passes through, and a replacement life of the coupling member 2 can be extended.
