<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to minimize image-deletion recovery time while properly eliminating image deletion, and to reduce toner or power to be consumed during image-deletion recovery or standby time until ready for printing.SOLUTION: Image-deletion recovery speed V is calculated on the basis of a first detection result obtained by a density sensor 17 which detects density of a density-detection pattern image G formed on a surface of a photoreceptor drum 1 and a second detection result obtained when a predetermined time elapses after the first detection. Image-deletion recovery time Tr is changed according to the image-deletion speed recovery speed V.</p> |
