<p>The invention relates to Bollards and Barriers suitable for withstanding impacts from a vehicle. The bollard apparatus 1 comprises a plurality of post members 2, 3, 4 each comprising an upper length part 2A, 3A, 4A integrally joined to a lower length part 28, 38, 48 by a bend 5 in the post member such that the lower length part extends from the bend transversely relative to the upper length part. A sheaving part 6 holds together the upper and lower parts of the plurality of post members as a sheave such that the plurality of respective lower length parts extend transversely relative to the sheave to provide a bollard foot upon which the sheave is supportable in an upstanding position. The post members may be formed from spring steel. Later embodiments relate to barrier apparatus comprising a plurality of post members having an upper length part and a lower length part joined by a bend of at least 250 degrees, wherein the bend forms a loop, and a coupling member (34 figure 18) for passing through the loop. A further embodiment relates to a kit of parts comprising said bollard.</p> |
