FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to continuous metal strip (B) cooling lines. Strip cooling is performed by spraying fluid or mix consisting of gas and fluid on to the strip. Cooling depends on parameters including coolant temperature and flow rate. In compliance with this process, one or more zones are defined wherein cooling parameters are such that local vapour film disappears from hot strip surface which causes the strip rewetting. Cooling parameter for such zones represents at least the coolant temperature used to conserve or re-cool said vapour film on strip surface resulted from film vaporization of coolant at contact with hot strip.EFFECT: higher efficiency.13 cl, 5 dwg
