When a read-ahead forenotice performance is executed, the predictive performance is executed at a higher rate than a case where the read-ahead forenotice performance is not executed. When a pseudo continuous performance is executed, the predictive performance is executed at a higher rate than a case where the pseudo continuous performance is not executed. Rates of executing the development performance are differed according to which performance mode of the predictive performance is among a plurality of performance modes. As timing of starting execution of the predictive performance, any one timing is selected from among a plurality of types of timing set from when a variable display of special symbols is started till the display result is derived and displayed.
