PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process of catalytic conversion.SOLUTION: There is provided the process of catalytic conversion including catalytic cracking reaction of a hydrocarbon feedstock contacting with a medium pore size zeolite enriched catalyst in a reactor. In the process of catalytic conversion, reaction temperature, weight hourly space velocity and catalyst/feedstock ratio by weight are sufficient to achieve a yield of fluid catalytic cracking gas oil between 12% and 60% by weight of the feedstock, wherein the weight space velocity is between 25hand 100h, the reaction temperature is between 450°C and 600°C, and the weight ratio of catalyst/raw material is between 1 and 30. The invention relates to the process of catalytic conversion especially for producing gasoline with high octane value from heavy raw oil with high yield of propylene. More detail, the invention relates to a process for significantly reducing yield of dry gas and coke and thus achieving highly efficient utilization of petroleum resource.
