<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel allowing the matching of the phases of an index line and distance scale in an unlimitedly rotatable operation ring.SOLUTION: The lens barrel comprises: a fixed barrel 55 on which distance scale 55a is written; an operation ring 54 provided with a display 56 for displaying an index line 56a, and held unlimitedly rotatably to the fixed barrel 55; an operation ring position detection unit 57 detecting a rotational phase of the operation ring 54; a fifth lens holding frame 5 holding a fifth lens group L5; a fifth lens group position sensor 53 detecting an optical axis direction position of the fifth lens holding frame 5; and a microcomputer 42 controlling the display of the index line 56a on the display 56. The microcomputer 42 determines a positional relationship between the distance scale 55a and the index line 56a on the basis of the rotational phase of the operation ring 54 detected by the operation ring position detection unit 57 and a position of the fifth lens holding frame 5 in an optical axis direction detected by the fifth lens group position sensor 53.</p> |
