<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To focus on a main subject without additional image processing, and to simultaneously blur subjects located in front and back to obtain a natural image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an optical part 101 having a focus lens. In capturing an image of a composition including a plurality of subjects located from front to rear, at least one of the subjects is imaged as a main subject, while blurring subjects other than the main subject. A CPU 1004 controls a DSP 1007 to detect a distance between the main subject and the imaging apparatus, obtains distance information, and determines a focal point of the focus lens so that the main subject falls within a depth of field, according to the distance information. The CPU move-controls the focal point of the focus lens along an optical axis of the optical part during an exposure period for capturing a composition in a range so that the main subject falls within the depth of field.</p> |
