PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light-emitting device in which luminescent chromaticity is corrected by a principle different from conventional principles or a light-emitting device in which luminescent chromaticity can be corrected by a principle different from conventional principles.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes: a light-emitting element (10) that emits visible light; a phosphor (27) that is excited by the light of the light-emitting element (10) to emit visible light; a light-transmitting member (20) comprising a light-transmitting base material (25), which is disposed on the light-emitting element (10) and on the phosphor (27) or including the phosphor (27); and a coating film (40) which is disposed on an upper face of the light-transmitting member (20) and comprises aggregation of nanoparticles (30) having a refractive index different from that of the base material (25).
