<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a minute needle shape strontium carbonate suitable for optical part applications of an optical film, sheet, lens or the like, and to provide a method of efficiently manufacturing the particle industrially. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a needle shape strontium carbonate particle includes a process in which the reaction of a strontium source and a carbonate source is performed by a wet process under the presence of a grain shape controlling agent, wherein the reaction is performed under the agitation by the agitation power density of 1.0×10<SP POS="POST">2</SP>kW/m<SP POS="POST">3</SP>-1.0×10<SP POS="POST">4</SP>kW/m<SP POS="POST">3</SP>in the reactor having a stirrer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
