<p>Provided are a frequency offset estimating method in an OFDM system and an OFDM receiver capable of reducing calculation complexity by estimating a frequency offset using a training symbol having periodicity and a certain training symbol. The frequency offset estimating method comprises the steps of: receiving a first training symbol having periodicity and a random second training symbol, calculating a correlation value with respect to the first training symbol using coherence phase bandwidth (CPB), determining a position of a first peak value in the correlation value using a threshold value, determining positions of the other remaining peak values with reference to a space value obtained by dividing a size of an integer frequency offset candidate by the number of period of the first training symbol, and calculating a correlation value with respect to the second training symbol using the CPB and estimating a maximum value point of the correlation value with respect to the second training symbol as a frequency offset by using a position of a peak value.</p> |
