<p>A sealed electric compressor (1) having a normally-off type pressure switch (7) and a fuse element (6). The pressure switch (7) is placed in a sealed housing (2), connected parallel to a main winding (3A) of an electric motor (3), and, when the pressure of refrigerant in the sealed housing (2) is abnormally high, activates to short-circuit the main winding (3A). The fuse element (6) is connected in series to the main winding (3A) and an auxiliary winding (3B) of the electric motor (3) and interrupts conduction of electricity to the electric motor (3) when an excess current that is produced when the pressure switch (7) short-circuits the main winding (3A) flows.</p> |
