PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an absorbent article in which the amount of granular materials, or density of the granular materials per unit area, is increased.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus of an absorbent article in which a plurality of liquid-absorptive granular materials 3 are sandwiched between first and second sheets includes: at least one hopper 5 which temporarily accumulates the granular materials 3 and discharges the granular materials 3 from a discharging opening 50; a plurality of rolls 6 which each have a plurality of concave parts 60 for receiving the granular materials 3 at the opening 50 of the hopper 5 and rotate to convey the granular materials 3 in the concave parts 60; cases 8 which suppress spill-down of the granular materials 3 from the respective concave parts 60 of the respective rolls 6 and each have a curved surface which defines a scattering opening 80 from which the granular materials 3 in the concave parts 60 are scattered; and a conveying device which conveys the first sheet for placing the granular materials 3 scattered from the respective scattering openings 80 on the first sheet. |
