PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tableting pestle having an engraving mark narrower in line width or smaller in size than a conventional tableting pestle, or having an engraving mark in the vicinity of an edge of a tableting face, to provide a method for manufacturing such the tableting pestle, and to provide a method for recycling a used tableting pestle.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a tableting pestle includes pestle shaping steps S1, S3 to form: pestle parts 21, 41 including pestle tip parts 22, 42 made of an electrically conductive base material on the tip side; and shanks 11, 31 that couple with the pestle parts 21, 41. The method of manufacturing the tableting pestle includes an electric processing step S4 to form: concave tableting faces 24, 44 at the tips of the pestle tip parts 22, 42; and convex engraving marks 25 in the tableting faces 24, 44 by electric processing.
