PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanizing mold which can maintain exhaust performance for a long time by preventing malfunction of a vent plug due to rubber biting, and a tire manufacturing method using the tire vulcanizing mold.SOLUTION: A vent plug 2 fitted to an exhaust hole 16 opening in a molding surface 1 comprises a cylindrical housing 3 having an exhaust passage 21 therein, and a stem 4 inserted into the housing 3. A head part 42 of the stem 4 has a top surface 42a facing a cavity 15, and a side surface 42b facing an inner surface 31b of an opening part 31 of the housing 3. A filler 6 is interposed between the inner surface 31b of the opening part 31 and the side surface 42b of the head part 42, thereby forming a bonding part 71 fixing the stem 4, in which the top surface 42a of the head part 42 projects from a top surface 31a of the opening part 31, to the housing 3, and forming a clearance part 72 allowing ventilation from the cavity 15 to the exhaust passage 21. |
