<p>The disclosure concerns a magnetic field heating apparatus of the type having a magnetic loop for defining a magnetic circuit, the apparatus having a number of electrical coils for energising a magnetic field in the vicinity of the magnetic loop, a power circuit connectable to the coils for applying electrical AC power, the power circuit comprising a transformer having a secondary winding which outputs a single phase AC amp supplied to main frequency and an AC filter connected across the secondary winding for suppressing frequencies of the single phase supply which are other than the main frequency. The power circuit can be connected or disconnected from the coil for controllably energising or de-energising the magnetic field. A balance load is connectable across the power circuit when the power circuit is disconnected from the coils.</p> |
