Ski boot element which is at least temporarily connected to the ski boot during skiing and which is held on the ski. The ski boot element (2) includes at least one recess (5a) largely within the central area of the element and below the foot of the skier and a projecting pin (21) which extends from the base of the recess in the direction of the lower side of the element and largely vertical to it. The recess is in the form of a cut out wit sideways lead in and the pin (21) is positioned on the longitudinal axis of the ski boot, with the pin made in a cylindrical shape.
